Our primary environmental concerns are water use, CO2 emissions, and fibre sourcing.
At SCA, we take every opportunity to implement new manufacturing techniques that optimise our environmental performance and reduce water usage, waste and CO2 emissions. Equally important is our ongoing commitment to using 100% sustainably-sourced wood fibre.
We have over 20 years of expertise in analysing a product’s environmental impact over its entire life cycle – from creation to disposal. We make the best environmental choices as regards material selection, ensuring sustainable product development, and improving the entire value chain based on our unique The Life Cycle Assessment of each and every product.
Commitment to forestry
We are constantly growing our forests. Each tree we use is replaced by three new trees. We ensure that our forests are chemical and pesticide free and preserve as natural a forest environment as possible. Importantly, all our own forests are environmentally certified according to stringent FSC criteria.
