Fighting Healthcare-Associated Infections with Hand Hygiene
As a market leader in healthcare hygiene solutions, Tork understands that the simple task of cleaning and drying hands at the right times and in the right way saves lives. Healthcare-associated infection (HCAI) is a major concern when it comes to patient safety. However, most infections are preventable.
From this perspective, every single initiative to support increased hand hygiene behaviour should be acknowledged, and on May 5th 2011, a major initiative will take place as the World Health Organization is once again issuing its annual call to action. Healthcare workers, managers, facilities and organisations throughout the world are invited to acknowledge and campaign for improved hand hygiene at the point of care to reduce healthcare-associated infections.
